Prior to starting the development/construction business, Mr. Ferwerda served in the US Army, obtaining the rank of Sergeant. Since his discharge from the Army he has completed college, attended Graduate School, obtained his Certified Public Accountant license and has had a career that included Public Accounting, being a Controller for a division of a Fortune 500 company and manager in the corporate office of a Fortune 350 company. In addition to running a successful development/construction business, Mr. Ferwerda remains active in the community by teaching International Business, Law and Finance at Hesser College on an adjunct basis, serving on the Board of Directors of Rockingham Community Action, Chairman of the Board of Rockingham Community Housing Inc., and serves on the budget committee of the Mountain Lakes District, Haverhill, New Hampshire.
